The new partnership will see the introduction of promotions where customers can accrue Emirates Skywards Miles when purchasing a new Jaguar or Land Rover. The Skywards Miles awarded in some cases will exceed the number of Miles required for a return trans-Tasman flight or a one-way Auckland to Bali flight in Economy class.
The programme will also include a range of event hosting, customer driving experiences, and exclusive chauffeur services for flights as well as to sporting experiences such as the ASB Classic where both Jaguar & Emirates brands are sponsors.
During promotional periods, selected top tier Emirates Skywards members will also be provided with a chauffeur service to their flight in a Land Rover or Jaguar.
Emirates customers will qualify for special offers on new Jaguar Land Rover vehicles and customers not already a member of the Emirates Skywards Miles programme can sign up through an authorised Jaguar Land Rover retailer.
Jaguar Land Rover NZ general manager Steve Kenchington says this is the first time the brands which have dedicated themselves to creating luxury travel experiences have come together in this way.
“We are developing an entirely new service and loyalty model for both Jaguar Land Rover and Emirates which is expected to offer significant levels of new benefits to our mutual customers.
“It will mean our customers can be managed on the ground as well as in the air; providing a more premium experience for international travellers,” he says.
Kenchington says customers will also be offered new experiences at sporting fixtures where the brands are aligned as supporters - such as ASB Classic and local equine events.
“We are looking to develop new hosting opportunities for customers in headline sporting events that both Emirates and Jaguar Land Rover sponsor together.
“This will include providing transport to these events this summer for our top tier customers.
“We will also be introducing new driving experiences and looking at other ways in which this partnership can enhance the opportunity for our customers,” he says.
Emirates’ New Zealand regional manager Chris Lethbridge says: “We are excited to partner with Jaguar Land Rover to provide a unique offer with tailored benefits, exclusive to members of Skywards in New Zealand. For Emirates and its customers, this partnership is a great fit, bringing together two premium global brands with superior products and services.” The new partnership will take effect from 12 November, 2018.
