The new Defender may have earned the spotlight for 2020, but Land Rover have decided the old model will continue to live on - though not how we knew it.
Land Rover, who have recently bought Bowler Motors, the UK manufacturer of all-terrain performance cars, have given the green light for them to rework the legendary 4X4 into an ultimate off-road weapon.
The new agreement paves the way for Bowler to develop a new family of high-performance models, using the classic Defender 110 station wagon shape.
Land Rover’s decision to issue Bowler with this license agreement represents a unique undertaking – the integrating of Land Rover’s engineering excellence with Bowler’s motorsport expertise and experience.
